BMD Constructions has secured the next major early works contract for Brisbane’s new stadium at Victoria Park, moving the project from preliminary site preparation into a defined civil construction program.

The Queensland-founded contractor will deliver bulk earthworks, haul roads, stormwater drainage, retaining walls, erosion and sediment controls, semi-permanent fencing and a major logistics plaza supporting the next stage of stadium construction.

The award gives contractors and suppliers a clearer view of the physical work now progressing beneath Brisbane’s largest planned 2032 venue.

BMD selected following competitive open-market process

The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority selected BMD through a two-phase open-market procurement process.

The first invitation for prequalification attracted 22 responses before shortlisted participants progressed to the invitation-to-offer stage.

BMD has been appointed under a design-and-construct arrangement with GHD as its design partner.
